About Gizé's Artist

He was born in 1954 in São Paulo, SP, Brazil. He realized too early that Art would be your life’s path, because even as a teenager, he made portraits and he used to be pretty requested to do that.

When he was 17, he started attending a renowned Art school in São Paulo city, Escola Panamericana de Arte, where he took courses such as Painting, Drawing, Illustration and Publicity under the orientation of Mario Tabarin, Manoel Victor Filho and Nico Rosso. It was remarkable years for him because he had the opportunity to study the great masters such as Rembrandt, Velasquez, Van Gogh, Picasso, Dali and all the surrealists, among others.

At the end of 70’s, he started working as an illustrator in famous Brazilian magazines such as Veja, Super Interessante, also Playboy, Status, even in publishing like Ática and Saraiva. He also worked in publicity market doing hyper-realistic airbrushing illustrations.

In 90’s, his life took a turn for the better and he got totally dedicating in painting, drawing, so that he could have improved his artistic expression.

In 2014, he had his first art exhibition called Passagens & Conexões (Passageways & Connections) in a São Paulo Art Gallery called Verve Galeria. He also took part in collective art exhibitions, being the last one in Memorial da América Latina—3º Salão de Outono da América Latina in São Paulo city.

Nowadays he has been working with computer graphics, engravings, ceramics, paintings and drawings. And he has taught drawing and painting in his atelier.
